Biography
Michael focuses his practice on domestic and international patent preparation and prosecution within Marshall Gerstein’s Electrical & Computer Technologies Group. He provides a holistic approach to portfolio management and intellectual property strategy development, drafts opinions on invalidity and non-infringement issues, and advises on post-grant review proceedings.
Michael’s hobbies include experiencing Chicago’s theater scene, operas, and classical music performances. He also plays board games and enjoys camping.

Background and Credentials
Michael obtained his J.D., cum laude, from Chicago Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology where he received a CALI Award for Constitutional History and a CALI Award for Supreme Court Review. Prior to law school, Michael obtained his B.S., cum laude, in electrical engineering and music performance from Valparaiso University.
Prior to joining Marshall Gerstein, Michael was a patent attorney in Chicago for domestic-based law firms.
