Firm Partner Publishes “Time Limits in Confidentiality Agreements”
Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP Partner, Julianne M. Hartzell, recently contributed an article that was published in the Spring 2009 edition of Intellectual Property Litigation. Ms. Hartzell's article, “Time Limits in Confidentiality Agreements,” discusses the unintended consequences to trade secret protection that can be triggered by the use of time limits in confidentiality agreements. Specifically, the discussion addresses concerns arising from the use of time limits on agreements requiring customers, joint venture partners, and departing employees to maintain trade secret information in confidence.
