Pamela L. Cox to Co-Present University Jointly-Owned Rights and Inter-Institution Agreements Webinar

Pamela Cox will co-present with Adam Conway of AbbVie Inc., “University Jointly-Owned Rights and IIAs,” the first of a series of business development webinar courses sponsored by the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM) that provide an in-depth education specifically on the topic of jointly owned intellectual property. Through this webinar, participants will obtain an understanding of the concerns of third-party licensees, learn about inter-institutional joint agreements, adeptly identify various risks and approaches to mitigate such risks, and appreciate the benefits—and costs—of partnering with institutions. The webinar will be held November 6, 2014, in conjunction with the AUTM Professional Development Programs. 

Ms. Cox, partner and chair of IP Transactions, concentrates on counseling related to intellectual property transactions, protection and transfer for clients that range from multinational corporations to non-profit institutions. As a patent attorney who has managed intellectual property portfolios in-house, Ms. Cox understands her clients' intellectual property and agreement needs, and remains passionately engaged until achieving their strategic objectives. Clients find her talented at unraveling complex deal structures and devising creative agreement solutions as a seamless member of their team.
