Heather Kissling Recognized in Managing Intellectual Property’s Top 250 Women in IP 2020 Edition

Heather Kissling draws from 20 years of experience securing biotechnology patents to develop worldwide filing and prosecution strategies that further her clients’ business objectives.

Heather actively collaborates with CEOs, in-house counsel, bench scientists, and business development personnel to maximize protection of biotechnology innovations in a broad range of technologies, including biopharmaceuticals such as antibody and protein therapeutics, nucleic acid-based therapies, cell-based therapies, and vaccines; personalized medicine; genetically engineered plants; and clean technologies. She also counsels clients on IP due diligence, including IP portfolio analysis and freedom to operate analysis in connection with partnering and licensing deals, acquisitions, and financing.

Outside of advising her clients, Heather serves on the board of directors of the Chicago chapter of Women In Bio, serves as the firm’s patent prosecution practice chair, is a member of the firm’s professional development committee, and actively mentors future leaders of the firm.
