Vanessa assists with drafting and prosecuting patent applications within Marshall Gerstein's Electrical & Computer Technologies Group. She is experienced in diverse technologies such as systems engineering and predictive modeling. Vanessa is multi-lingual, she can speak Mandarin (Chinese) and Russian. 

Outside of her patent prosecution work, Vanessa enjoys playing the piano, playing the ukulele, and traveling.

Background and Credentials

Vanessa is currently obtaining her J.D. from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law with an expected graduation date of May 2024. She is a member of the Cybersecurity and Privacy Law Association and is involved with IP Theory Law Journal. 

As a Summer Legal Intern for the Office of the Vice President and General Counsel at Indiana University, Vanessa assisted with a broad range of legal issues with a focus on copyrights and intellectual property matters.
