Robert S. Jacobson assists in prosecuting patents for clients in a variety of industries, specifically related to electrical and software engineering. Rob's education and background provide experience and knowledge in a wide range of technology areas including digital communications, wireless devices, and telephony.

Background and Credentials

Prior to joining Marshall Gerstein, Rob worked in the telecommunications industry for 5 years, most recently as a Device Engineer for U.S. Cellular, where he was responsible for ensuring that mobile devices complied with the technical requirements for their CDMA, EVDO, and LTE networks. Before U.S. Cellular, he worked as a Software Engineer for Motorola as part of their CDMA Mobile Devices team.

Rob holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
