Marshall Gerstein Sponsors IPLAC IP Speed Mentoring at Loyola University

The Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago (IPLAC) Law School Outreach Committee is hosting an Intellectual Property (IP) Speed Mentoring and Networking Reception, set to take place on January 18, 2024, at Loyola University from 5:23 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. As an IPLAC Diamond Sponsor, Marshall Gerstein will participate in the event.

  • 5:30 p.m. Exclusive Meet-and-Greet with Marshall Gerstein: Prior to the main event, participants will have a chance to chat with Marshall Gerstein professionals across various levels at the firm.
  • 6:00 p.m. Speed Mentoring Session: Associates Izabella Higson and Krista Solano from Marshall Gerstein will actively participate in the speed mentoring portion, offering JD students a unique opportunity to gain insights and advice from seasoned IP attorneys.
  • 7:00 p.m. Networking Reception: Following the speed mentoring and meet-and-greet sessions, there will be a general networking reception. All IPLAC attorneys are warmly invited to attend, fostering a conducive environment for students to expand their professional networks. This is also an ideal opportunity for IPLAC attorneys to volunteer as speed mentors and contribute to the growth of the next generation of legal professionals.

Izabella focuses her practice on biotechnology & life sciences litigation matters as an Associate at Marshall Gerstein. Her passion for science and technology led her to patent law to advocate for researchers, inventors, and entrepreneurs who advance a variety of scientific disciplines.

Krista joined Marshall Gerstein as a Law Clerk in 2023. She now serves as an Associate supporting the firm's Trademarks Practice Group, with experience handling matters relating to trade dress infringement, counterfeiting claims, and UDRP complaints.
